The photograph on the right was taken in the 1930's..... on the left of the picture is my Grandfather...I never knew him......this was on 2 x 1.5 halide plate. The restored lighter version is on the right ...it has been left with a few distinguishing marks to authenticate its age, the faces are now recognisable and the image has had many blemishes removed.

Taken in America in the 1920's...... this photograph presented us with torn edges and creases, it is also a little faded and lacking contrast.

the left print is heavily stained and shows signs of chemical run (fixer used in developing) which occurs with age...also a strong magenta colour cast over the whole photograph....magniified it had numerous blemishes and blotchiness

the restored print has the colour cast removed, all the blemishes eliminated and the overall print looks more natural.....staining was removed and the lace curtain repaired to eliminate any gaps at the top
